Entry Requirement For Undergraduate Programme:

The general University admission policy is based on NUC approved admission requirement. Candidates offered admission should fulfil the minimum entry requirements stated against the Faculties into which they are admitted. All candidates should submit originals and two (2) photo-copies of their certificates or result slips. Statements of results from Schools are not accepted. Similarly, birth certificates and State of origin declaration are to be submitted. Candidates for 200 level admission must have obtained:

  • Passes at the Advanced Level in G.C.E. (or any approved equivalent examination) in Two subjects and credits in the West African School Certificate in, at least, three other subjects.
  • Passes at the Advanced Level in G.C.E. (or an approved equivalent examination) in three subjects and credit in the West African School Certificate Examinations in, at least, two other subjects

  • It should be noted that (a) and (b) apply provided that:

  • The two or three G.C.E. “A Level” passes or equivalents are in Chemistry and Biology or Chemistry and Botany/Zoology.
  • At least 5 G.C.E. Ordinary Level/SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology (or Agricultural Science) and Physics.

  • Candidates for 100 level admission must have obtained:

  • Marks high enough in the JME to meet the cut-off point set for the year in which their applications are being considered. They must have fulfilled the G.C.E.’O’ level/SSC requirements as stated above.

  • Holders of the following qualifications from Institutions recognised by the University may also be considered for admission into 200 level.

  • Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Agriculture with an over-all Distinction pass.
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) in Agriculture with an over-all credit pass

  • It should be noted that Diploma holders are also required to fulfil the Faculty’s ‘O’ level/SSC requirements as stated above. Read more
